ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance

Is your organization working to achieve your ESG goals?

In the previous article we discussed how you can know the who, what, when, where as well as the status of your crops, contracts and payments. This week we will focus on how our tools integrate with SISC, Field-to-Market, Cool Farm Tool, and other sustainability calculators from around the globe.

Sustainability is no longer just a buzz word. Regular consumers are demanding to know exactly where their food comes from, and how it was grown, harvested, transported, and processed. They want to know that their food is safe to eat, and that food production companies have delivered that food through safe and environmentally friendly methods.

Growers, suppliers and the companies that process that food are now expected to be able to respond to respond to consumer and governmental campaigns targeting the food & beverage supply chain.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

CropTrak has partnered with some of the largest sustainability groups across the globe to help our customers meet compliance and sustainability requirements supported by these organizations. These include GlobalG.A.P., SQF Institute, FSA, Primus GFS, SISC and more (see above graphic).

Our tools help our customers meet the requirements of the U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act, and the General Food Law Regulation in the E.U. They provide claim verification.

The CropTrak Modules let you monitor the inputs of all kinds of sustainability data points (see the above graphic). These include greenhouse gas emissions, seed usage, food waste, energy consumption, pesticide rates, water use and many more.

This information and the reports generated from them allow your C-suite executives to verify their organization’s regulatory compliance efforts thus minimizing their risk and possible exposure. In turn, food production companies can assure consumers that the food they eat is both safe and good for them.

COMING UP NEXT
